- Start by the parking lot bathrooms at Sycamore Canyon Campground (north of the highway, NOT the beach parking lot)
- Loop run going uphill to the fire road and finishing on a gradual downhill in the canyon
- 12 miles with first 6 miles easy pace and last 6 progression to HM race pace
