I run for Venturacers because:  They inspire and ignite a passion for running in me that I never knew existed! I started casually running in my late 30s, and being on the team has opened up a new competitive world to me – doing the hard work towards goals but also keeping it light-hearted and fun.

My favorite workout is:  Hybrid long runs mixing road and hilly trail! I also love the heart-pumping feeling of speed intervals; my imagination takes over and I like to pretend I’m chasing someone down in a heist (I’m also a highly-skilled martial artist in this fantasy).
My favorite race is:  California International Marathon ’23. Coming out of an injury, I didn’t think I’d show up at the start line let alone finish, but somehow the stars aligned just right! Cheering crowds the whole time, entertainment at every corner, and seeing the rest of the team crush their marathon goals easily planted CIM at the top of my list.
When I’m not running:  I’m on a bike or a hike, shooting photos, reading, watching way more Youtube videos than I care to admit (thank you, running/photography algorithm), and my favorite … family movie/game night.
